Free Breast Pump
How-to Get A Free Breast Pump
At Insurance Covered Breast Pumps, we send out hundreds of breast pumps a week to moms who qualify for free breast pumps through their insurance, usually as part of the Affordable Care Act.
In order to address any confusion about how-to qualify for a no-cost breast pump through insurance (free breast pump), we wanted to walk you through this very easy process.
The Affordable Care Act requires most insurances to cover breast pumps, usually at no-cost (free breast pump). Coverages can vary based on insurance. Some insurances allow moms to select a double electric pump while others only offer a manual. Others only offer a hospital-grade pump for rent and will require a prescription.
Insurances sometimes specify which breast pump company they allow their moms to work with, which is why we partner with so many great breast pump companies. We work with Medela, Spectra, Ardo, Motif, Ameda, and Lansinoh. What’s great about going through insurance is you get the exact same pump as if you were to walk into a store and purchase one yourself — except it’s a free pump!
All of this can feel daunting, which is why we have worked so hard to make this an incredibly easy process for our ICBP mamas!
At ICBP, we take almost all insurances including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, United HealthCare (UHC), UMR, and TRICARE to name a few.
- Your first step is to go to our “Am I Covered” page and enter all your information.
- Next, our knowledgeable and dedicated staff will take your information and work with your insurance company. They will be in contact with any questions.
- After submitting the necessary paperwork to your insurance company, we will send out your free pump with as little hassle to you as possible. You will get to choose your pump based on what is approved by your insurance provider.
Hopefully this answers any questions you had. We are so excited for you and your new family!
